EFAMRO elects new president and executive board

Efamro, the European Research Federation, has announced the election of Andrew Cannon as President for the period 2012-2015.
Andrew works for TNS-Gallup and represents Finland’s research association SMTL. Andrew had served as a Vice-President of efamro since March 2011.
Also elected to the Executive Board are two new Vice-Presidents: Gudbrand Jevne (Virke – Norway) for the period 2012-2015, and Debrah Harding (The Market Research Society – UK) for the period 2012-2014.
Commenting on his election, Andrew said, “Research needs strong and effective research associations. The new Executive Board is committed to expanding the work of efamro in supporting national research associations in Europe and to working with our partners in the new Global Research Business Network, to ensure a level playing field and access to new markets for research businesses.”
Andrew also paid tribute to outgoing President, Stig Holmer, “Stig has provided efamro with stability and leadership for the last three years. Under his direction, efamro became a stronger, more focussed and more effective organisation, protecting and promoting the business of research in Europe.”
